Trypanosoma evansi ISOLAT LOKAL ACEH
ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui efek dari infeksi T. evansi isolat lokal KKRAB dan KSAB terhadap limpa tikus putih (Rattus norvegicus) jantan. Trypanosoma evansi merupakan isolat lokal Aceh koleksi Laboratorium Parasitologi Fakultas Kedokteran Hewan, Universitas Syiah Kuala. Sampel yang digunakan adalah limpa dari 23 ekor tikus putih jantan dan dibagi menjadi tiga kelompok perlakuan. Kelompok pertama (3 ekor) sebagai kontrol negatif. Kelompok kedua (10 ekor) diinfeksikan 1x105 Trypanosoma evansi isolat Krueng Raya (KKRAB). Kelompok ketiga (10 ekor) diinfeksikan 1x 105 Trypanosoma evansi isolat Seulimum (KSAB). Selama perlakuan, makanan dan minuman diberikan secara ad libitum. Pada saat tikus mati kemudian dinekropsi, bagian organ limpa yang diamati untuk pemeriksaan histopatologis dengan pewarnaan HE. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa histopatologis limpa tikus yang diinfeksikan T. evansi isolat Krueng Raya dan Seulimum menunjukkan gambaran hemosiderin, hiperplasia, dan nekrosis, namun histopatologis pada limpa dari isolat Seulimum terdapat perubahan kongesti.
Histopathology of Male Rat (Rattus norvegicus) Spleen Infected with Trypanosoma evansi Aceh Local isolates
ABSTRACT
This study aims to determine the effect of T. evansi infection on spleen of white male rats (Rattus norvegicus). Trypanosoma evansi used were aceh local isolates collection of Parasitology laboratory Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Syiah Kuala. Twenty three male rats were divided into three treatmentgroups. First group (3 rat) was uninfected control, second group (10 rats) were inoculated with 105 T.evansi Krueng Raya isolate, and third group (10 rats) were inoculated with 105 T.evansi Seulimum isolate. During treatment, feed and water were provided ad libitum. Spleen were collected after rats died. Spleen from all rats were collected for histopathological examination using HE staining method. Results showed that rats spleen that infected with T. evansi isolates Krueng Raya and Seulimum showed presence of hemosiderin, hyperplasia and necrosis, but spleen of rats infected with Seulimum isolates also showed congestion.
