ABSTRAK

Saat ini pariwisata dirasakan merupakan salah satu sektor penting untuk meningkatkan perekonomian suatu daerah. Kota Banda Aceh merupakan salah satu kota yang sangat berpotensi untuk mengembangkan sektor pariwisatanya. Melalui sektor pariwisata maka salah satu bidang bisnis yang akan terbentuk adalah pelayanan akomodasi penginapan berupa perhotelan.
Jumlah wisatawan di Kota Banda Aceh terus meningkat dari tahun 2009 hingga tahun 2013. Tahun 2013 jumlah wisatawan mencapai 155.929 orang. Melihat adanya potensi jumlah wisatawan tersebut, maka dirasakan bisnis perhotelan memiliki peluang besar di Kota Banda Aceh.
Kota Banda Aceh hingga saat ini memiliki 46 akomodasi penginapan. Namun, dari 46 akomodasi tersebut, belum terdapat satupun akomodasi dengan kategori hotel bintang lima. Oleh karena itu, sangat cocok jika di Banda Aceh disediakan hotel dengan standardisasi bintang lima.

ABSTRACT

Currently tourism is one of the important sectors to improve the economy of a region. Banda Aceh is one of the cities that has potential to develop its tourism sector. Through the tourism sector is one of the businesses that will be formed that ishospitality accommodations.
The number of tourists in Banda Aceh City steadily from 2009 to 2013. In 2013 the number of tourists reached 155.929 people. Seeing the potential of the tourist numbers, then felt the hospitality business has a huge opportunity in Banda Aceh City.
Banda Aceh until now has 46 lodging accommodations. However, of the 46 accommodation, there is no one accommodation in five star hotel category. Therefore, it is suitable if in Banda Aceh provided a hotel with five-star standardization.
