Anaylisis of Integrated Technology Implementation of Cacao Farming (Theobroma cacao) in Pidie District

ABSTRACT

Cacao (Theobroma cacao) is one of sub sector commudity of mainstay plantation that has an important role in the national economic. The development of cacao in Aceh can not be seperated from various problems encountered from upstream to downstream. Particularly, Pidie district which is an area that receive the development and implementation of technology are still allow to be increased due to various adoptive technology that has been applied. The aim of this study was to know the level/rate of integrated technology implementation and to know what else can affect productivity in the level/rate of integrated technology implementation of cacao farming in Pidie district. The research method used in this study was random sampling. Analysis method were descriptive and regression analysis. Based on the data analysis that the level/rate of integrated technology implementation in cacao plant in the district Pidie evenly applied. However, most farmers that already have enough knowledge can not implement the integrated technology because they only have a limited costs and the level of integrated technology implementation during production process that significantly affect the productivity of the cacao plant in district Pidie namely NPK fertilizier used

ABSTRAK

Kakao (Theobroma cacao) merupakan salah satu komoditas subsektor perkebunan andalan yang berperan penting dalam perekonomian nasional. Perkembangan kakao di Aceh tidak terlepas dari berbagai masalah yang dijumpai dari sektor hulu hingga sektor hilir. Terutama Kabupaten Pidie yang merupakan daerah yang dapat pengembangan dan penerapan teknologi masih memungkinkan untuk ditingkatkan, karena berbagai teknologi adoptif sudah ditetapkan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat penerapan teknologi terpadu dan mengetahui apa-apa saja yang dapat mempengaruhi produktivitas dalam tingkat penerapan teknologi terpadu usahatani kakao di Kabupaten Pidie. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode rendom sempling. Metode analisis yaitu deskriptif dan analisis regresi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis bahwa Tingkat penerapan teknologi terpadu pada tanaman kakao di Kabupaten Pidie rata-rata diterapkan tetapi sebagian dimana petani sudah memiliki pengetahuan yang cukup tetapi terbatas pada biaya dan Tingkat penerapan teknologi terpadu selama proses produksi yang berpengaruh nyata terhadap produktivitas pada tanaman kakao di Kabupaten Pidie yaitu penggunaan pupuk NPK.
