Diabetes melitus tipe 2 adalah keadaan tubuh btidak mampu merespon insulin, pasien dengan kontrol glikemik yang buruk dapat menyebabkan komplikasi mikrovaskular salah satunya nefropati diabetic yang di tandai denagn peningkatan kadar ureum dan kreatinin. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis hubungan kadar ureum dan kreatinin terhadap fungsi kognitif. penelitian analitik kuantitatif dengan desain cross-sectional pada 95 pasien diabetes melitus tipe II di poli endokrin RSUDZA Banda Aceh. Sampel ini diambil menggunakan consecutive sampling, fungsi kognitif dinilai menggunakan kuesioner Montreal Cognitive versi Indonesia (MoCa-Ina). Kadar ureum dan kreatinin dilihat pada rekam medik pasien. Hasil menunjukkan 49,5 % mengalami gangguan fungsi kognitif rinagn, 41,1 % kognitif normal, dan sedit dengan gangguan kognitif sedang 9,5 %. Mayoritas responden berjenis kelamin Perempuan 58,9 %. Sebagian besar mayoritas responden menempuh pendidikan > 12 tahun. Diabetes mellitus type 2 is a condition where the body is unable to respond to insulin, patients with poor glycemic control can cause microvascular complications, one of which is diabetic nephropathy which is characterized by increased levels of urea and creatinine. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between urea and creatinine levels and cognitive function. Quantitative analytical research with a cross-sectional design in 95 patients with diabetes mellitus type II in the endocrine polyclinic of RSUDZA Banda Aceh. This sample was taken using consecutive sampling, cognitive function was assessed using the Indonesian version of the Montreal Cognitive questionnaire (MoCa-Ina). Urea and creatinine levels were seen in the patient's medical records. The results showed that 49.5% had mild cognitive impairment, 41.1% normal cognitive, and 9.5% had moderate cognitive impairment. The majority of respondents were female 58.9%. Most of the respondents had more than 12 years of education.
