Parut hipertrofik merupakan komplikasi atau lesi yang muncul akibat dari proses penyembuhan luka. Tujuan utama dari perawatan jaringan luka adalah bagaimana proses penyembuhan serta kecepatan menutupnya luka, Agar dapat menentukan keparahan dari luka dan bekas luka yang dialami, dapat dilakukan penilaian pada luka, penilaian bekas luka ini sangat penting dilakukan untuk menerapkan terapi yang tepat. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, terdapat instrumen penilaian yang bertujuan untuk menilai parut yaitu, Patient and Observer Scar assessment Scales (POSAS), dimana POSAS ini merupakan instrumen penilaian jaringan parut yang bersifat subjektif dari pasien dan objektif dari observer. Penilaian parut sangat penting dan dapat berbeda antara pasien dan dokter. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur perbedaan penilaian parut oleh pasien dan observer. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Pengumpulkan data dilakukan melalui pengisian kuesioner Patient and Observer Scar Assessment Scale (POSAS) oleh observer maupun pasien untuk menilai parut hipertrofik yang ada pada pasien. Dari Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh nilai p sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 maka dinyatakan hipotesis diterima. Sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa rata-rata skor POSAS pada kelompok pasien adalah sebesar 41,71 sedangkan observer 22,86. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan rata-rata persepsi pasien dan observer dalam menilai parut hipertrofik berdasarkan Patient and Observer Scar Assessment Scale (POSAS) di RSUD Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh, dimana skor POSAS pada pasien cenderung lebih tinggi dibandingkan observer.

Hypertrophic scars are complications or lesions that arise as a result of the wound healing process. The main goal of wound care is to understand the healing process and the speed of wound closure. To determine the severity of the wound and the resulting scar, an assessment of the wound can be conducted. This scar assessment is crucial for applying the appropriate therapy. Based on this, there is an assessment instrument aimed at evaluating scars, namely the Patient and Observer Scar Assessment Scales (POSAS), where POSAS is an assessment instrument for scar tissue that is subjective from the patient and objective from the observer. Scar assessment is very important and can differ between patients and doctors. This study aims to measure the differences in scar assessment between patients and observers.This type of research uses a descriptive analytical method with a cross-sectional approach. Data collection was carried out through the completion of the Patient and Observer Scar Assessment Scale (POSAS) questionnaire by both observers and patients to assess the hypertrophic scars present in the patients. From the results of this study, a p-value of 0.000 < 0.05 was obtained, thus the hypothesis is accepted. Thus, it can be said that the average POSAS score in the patient group is 41.71, while the observer's score is 22.86. Based on the research results and discussion, it can be concluded that there is a difference in the average perception of patients and observers in assessing hypertrophic scars based on the Patient and Observer Scar Assessment Scale (POSAS) at RSUD Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh, where the POSAS score for patients tends to be higher compared to observers.
