Progress test merupakan metode evaluasi komprehensif untuk mengukur pencapaian kognitif mahasiswa, termasuk dalam memahami Kaidah Dasar Bioetika (KDB) yang mencakup prinsip Autonomy, Non-maleficence, Beneficence, dan Justice. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai tingkat pemahaman mahasiswa rotasi klinik terhadap KDB. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah deskriptif observasional, dengan data diperoleh melalui kuesioner online yang telah diuji validitasnya (CVI = 0,91). Responden adalah mahasiswa kedokteran angkatan pre-klinik 2019 dan 2020 yang dipilih menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dari 102 responden, hanya 0,98% yang memiliki pemahaman baik, 36,2% kategori sedang, dan 63,7% kategori kurang. Secara keseluruhan, rata-rata pemahaman mahasiswa berada pada kategori kurang. Angkatan 2020 memiliki rata-rata pemahaman sebesar 51,7%, sementara angkatan 2019 sebesar 50,2%. Nilai tertinggi diperoleh mahasiswa angkatan 2020. Temuan ini menunjukkan perlunya peningkatan strategi pembelajaran untuk memperkuat pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap prinsip bioetika yang esensial dalam praktik kedokteran.

The progress test is a comprehensive evaluation method to measure students' cognitive achievement, including their understanding of the Basic Principles of Bioethics (KDB), which encompass the principles of Autonomy, Non-maleficence, Beneficence, and Justice. This study aims to assess the level of understanding of clinical rotation students regarding KDB. The research design was descriptive observational, with data collected through an online questionnaire validated with a Content Validity Index (CVI) of 0.91. Respondents were pre-clinical medical students from the 2019 and 2020 cohorts selected using purposive sampling. The results showed that out of 102 respondents, only 0.98% demonstrated a good understanding, 36.2% were categorized as moderate, and 63.7% as poor. Overall, the average level of students' understanding was categorized as poor. The 2020 cohort had an average understanding score of 51.7%, while the 2019 cohort scored 50.2%. The highest score was achieved by a student from the 2020 cohort. These findings highlight the need for improved learning strategies to enhance students' understanding of bioethical principles, which are essential in medical practice.
