Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis nama-nama tempat tidak resmi di Aceh berdasarkan jenis ingatan kolektifnya, khususnya di Banda Aceh dan Aceh Besar. Untuk mengumpulkan data, penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik wawancara semi terstruktur. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 41 tempat yang diberi nama secara tidak resmi oleh masyarakat. Ada dua jenis memori kolektif yaitu memori komunikatif 29 tempat yang terdiri dari enam pola; Ciri-ciri geografis, letak geografis, struktur sejarah, peristiwa monumental, cerita rakyat setempat, dan jalan. Kemudian, terdapat 12 tempat memori budaya yang terdiri dari; Ciri-ciri geografis, letak geografis, peristiwa-peristiwa monumental, dan cerita rakyat setempat. Ditemukan juga adanya kategori makna berbeda yang ditemukan yang meliputi makna leksikal di tiga tempat, makna kontekstual di empat tempat, makna gramatikal di empat tempat, makna konseptual di enam tempat, makna denotatif di dua tempat, makna konotatif di dua tempat, dan makna referensial di 20 tempat. Untuk rekomendasi lebih lanjut, akan lebih baik untuk meningkatkan kedalaman dan keluasan penelitian dengan mengeksplorasi berbagai wilayah geografis dan aspek linguistik.

This research aims to analyze the unofficial place names in Aceh based on the types of collective memory, especially in Banda Aceh and Greater Aceh. To collect the data, this research used the qualitative method with a semi-structured interview technique. The findings of this research showed that there were 41 places unofficially named by society. There were two types of collective memory there were communicative memory 29 places which consisted of six patterns; Geographical features, geographical location, historical structure, monumental events, local folklore, and road. Then, there were 12 places for cultural memory which consisted of; Geographical features, geographical location, monumental events, and local folklore. It was also found that there were different categories of meaning found which include lexical meaning in three places, contextual meaning in four places, grammatical meaning in four places, conceptual meaning in six places, denotative meaning in two places, connotative meaning in two places, and referential meaning in 20 places. For further recommendation, it would be better to enhance the depth and breadth of research by exploring the different geographical areas and linguistics aspects.
