Ikan guppy (Poecilia reticulata) merupakan jenis ikan hias air tawar yang banyak diminati oleh masyarakat Indonesia, Kendala yang sering dihadapi para pembudidaya adalah rendahnya kualitas tingkat kecerahan warna pada ikan hias. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan ekstrak kulit buah manggis (Garcinia mangostana Linn) pada pakan terhadap kecerahan warna pada ikan guppy (Poecilia reticulata). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimental menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) non faktorial dengan 4 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Perlakuan A (Kontrol) tanpa penambahan ekstrak kulit buah manggis, B (dosis 10%), C (dosis 15%), D (dosis 20%). Hewan uji yang digunakan adalah ikan guppy berukuran 2 - 3 cm dengan padat tebar 1 ekor/liter. Pemeliharaan hewan uji dilakukan selama 30 hari dengan pemberian pakan dua kali sehari sebanyak 3% dari bobot tubuh ikan. Pengamatan warna ikan dilakukan secara visual, proses pengamatan dilakukan dengan mengamati perubahan warna dari punggung ikan sampai ekor ikan menggunakan alat pengukur warna Toca Color Finder (TCF). Guppy fish (Poecilia reticulata) is a type of fresh water ornamental fish that is in great demand by the people of Indonesia, the obstacle that is often faced by farmers is the low quality of the color brightness level in ornamental fish. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the addition of mangosteen fruit peel extract (Garcinia mangostana Linn) to feed on the brightness of the color of guppy fish (Poecilia reticulata). The research method used is an experimental method using a non-factorial complete randomized design (RAL) with 4 treatments and 5 replicates. Treatment A (Control) without the addition of mangosteen rind extract, B (10% dose), C (15% dose), D (20% dose). The test animals used were guppies measuring 2 - 3 cm with a stocking density of 1 tail/liter. Maintenance of test animals was carried out for 30 days by feeding twice a day as much as 3% of the body weight of the fish. Observation of fish color was done visually, the observation process was carried out by observing changes in color from the fish's back to the fish's tail using the Toca Color Finder (TCF) color measuring device. The results showed that the addition of mangosteen rind extract to commercial feed had a significant effect (P < 0.05) on the level of color brightness of guppy fish (Poecilia reticulata). The highest color brightness value was obtained in treatment D 20% dose with an increase in TCF score of 8,27. The best absolute length growth of guppy fish was in treatment D by 0,08 cm, the best absolute weight growth of guppy fish was in treatment D by 0,009 g, the highest survival rate in guppy fish was in treatment A by 84%. This study concludes that the provision of mangosteen rind extract on the brightness of the color of the best guppy fish is in treatment D dose of 20%.
