ABSTRAK
Kualitas pendidikan dapat dilihat dari segi input (input), proses (procces) dan aspek lulusan (output). Pendidikan bermutu meniscayakan keefektifan, kelengkapan, dan efisiensi pengelolaan seluruh faktor yang terlibat dalam proses pendidikan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui program perencanaan , pelaksanaan, pengawasan atau evaluasi dan tindak lanjut yang dilakukan pengawas dalam pelaksanaan supervisi manajerial kepala sekolah, menemukan kelebihan dan kekurangan supervisi manajerial di sekolah serta manfaat kegiatan supervisi manajerial kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Adapun hasil penelitian diantaranya; 1) Program supervisi manajerial berjalan dengan baik, kemudian untuk mencapai tujuan program supervisi manajerial maka dilakukan dua kali dalam satu tahun. 2) Pelaksanaan supervisi manajerial memberikan efektivitas bagi kepala sekolah dan guru, sehingga dapat meningkatkan keprofesionalisme kepala sekolah dan guru. 3) Pengawasan atau evaluasi dilakukan langsung oleh pengawas memberikan contoh kongkrit serta memberikan solusi, masukan kepada kepala sekolah dan guru pada saat evaluasi. 4) Tindak lanjut yang dilakukan pengawas diantaranya memberikan contoh bagaimana sikap kepala sekolah dalam mengarahkan guru agar lebih profesional dalam melaksanakan tugas. Kekurangan yang ditemukan seperti sarana dan prasarana di sekolah yang belum lengkap sehingga bersama-sama menemukan solusi untuk meningkatkan mutu sekolah dengan tepat sasaran. Dari hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan supervisi manajerial yang dilakukan menghasilkan peningkatan mutu pendidikan di SMP Negeri 1 Sigli dan SMP YPPU Sigli di Kabupaten Pidie.

THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE PRINCIPAL'S MANAGERIAL SUPERVISION IN IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF EDUCATION AT SMP NEGERI 1 SIGLI AND SMP YPPU SIGLI IN PIDIE REGENCY ABSTRACT (Maisura) The quality of education can be seen in terms of input (input), process (procces) and graduate aspects (output). Quality education entrusts the effectiveness, completeness, and efficiency of the management of all factors involved in the educational process. The purpose of this study is to find out the planning, implementation, supervision or evaluation and follow-up programs carried out by supervisors in the implementation of managerial supervision of school principals, find the advantages and disadvantages of managerial supervision in schools and the impact of the benefits of managerial supervision activities of school principals in improving the quality of education. This research method is qualitative descriptive research. The results of the research include; 1) The managerial supervision program runs well, then to achieve the goals of the managerial supervision program, it is carried out twice in one year. 2) The implementation of managerial supervision has an effective impact on school principals and teachers, so that it can improve the professionalism of school principals and teachers. 3) Supervision or evaluation is carried out directly by the supervisor providing concrete examples and providing solutions, input to the principal and teachers at the time of evaluation. 4) The follow-up carried out by the supervisor includes giving examples of how the principal's attitude in directing teachers to be more professional in carrying out their duties. The shortcomings found are such as incomplete facilities and infrastructure in schools so that together they find solutions to improve the quality of schools on target. From these results, it can be concluded that the managerial supervision activities carried out resulted in an improvement in the quality of education at SMP Negeri 1 Sigli and SMP YPPU Sigli in Pidie Regency.
