Brucellosis adalah penyakit infeksius disebabkan oleh bakteri dari genus Brucella yang merupakan mikroorganisme intraseluler. Penyakit brucellosis pada sapi disebabkan oleh bakteri Brucella abortus (B. abortus). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeteksi tingkat kejadian penyakit brucellosis secara serologis pada sapi aceh di UPTD IBI Saree, Aceh Besar. Pemeriksaan sampel di lakukan di Laboratorium Dinas Peternakan Aceh. Sampel serum yang digunakan pada penelitian ini berasal dari 20 sapi aceh jantan dan betina. Pemeriksaan sampel menggunakan uji serologis yaitu Rose Bengal Test (RBT). Data yang diperoleh di analisis secara deskriptif. Hasil pengujian RBT menunjukkan bahwa 19 sampel serum sapi aceh jantan dan betina seropositif dan 1 sampel serum seronegatif, dapat dikategorikan 30% positif 3, 55% positif 2, 10 % positif 1 dan 5% seronegatif, dengan persentase keseluruhan sebesar 95%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah 95% sampel serum dari sapi aceh jantan dan betina yang berada di UPTD IBI Saree terdeteksi adanya bakteri Brucella abortus penyebab dari penyakit brucellosis berdasarkan hasil uji RBT.

Brucellosis is an infectious disease caused by bacteria of the genus Brucella which are intracellular microorganisms. Brucellosis in cattle is caused by the bacterium Brucella abortus (B. abortus). This study aims to detect the incidence of brucellosis disease serologically in Acehnese cattle at UPTD IBI Saree, Aceh Besar Regency. Samples were examined at the Aceh Livestock Service Laboratory. The serum samples used in this study came from 20 male and female Acehnese cows. The sample examination uses a serological test, namely the Rose Bengal Test (RBT). The data obtained were analyzed descriptively. The RBT test results showed that 19 serum samples of male and female Aceh cattle were seropositive and 1 serum sample was seronegative, can be categorized as 30% positive 3, 55% positive 2, 10% positive 1 and 5% seronegative, with an overall percentage of 95%. The conclusion of this study is that 95% of serum samples of male and female Aceh cattle in UPTD IBI Saree detected the presence of Brucella abortus bacteria that cause brucellosis based on RBT test results.
