RINGKASAN
Tanah yang subur bagi pengembangan pertanian adalah tanah yang memiliki
kapasitas untuk memenuhi seluruh kebutuhan tanaman, yaitu mampu menyediakan seluruh
unsur hara yang dibutuhkan tanaman dalam jumlah yang cukup dan seimbang, memenuhi
kebutuhan airnya, memasok gas-gas yang dibutuhkan serta memiliki fisik tanah yang
cukup gembur untuk ditembus sistem perakaran tanaman namun tetap dapat menunjang
tanaman berdiri kokoh. Tanah sawah adalah tanah yang digunakan untuk bertanam padi
sawah, baik terus-menerus sepanjang tahun maupun bergiliran dengan tanaman palawija.
Istilah tanah sawah bukan merupakan istilah taksonomi akan tetapi istilah ini lebih
merupakan salah satu jenis penggunaan tanah yang dikelola sedemikian rupa untuk
budidaya tanaman padi dan juga merupakan istilah umum seperti halnya, tanah hutan,
tanah perkebunan, dan sebagainya
Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menganalisis sifat fisik pada lahan sawah di Desa
Teureubeh, Kecamatan Kota Jantho, Kabupaten Aceh Besar.
Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Teureubeh, Kecamatan Kota Jantho, Kabupaten
Aceh Besar. Analisis sifat fisik tanah dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Fisika Tanah Fakultas
Pertanian Universitas Syiah Kuala dan Laboratorium Penelitian Tanah dan Tanaman
Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Syiah Kuala. Penelitian menggunakan metode survei
deskriptif, yang didasarkan pada pengamatan lapangan dan uji laboratorium. Parameter
yang dianalisis adalah tekstur tanah, warna tanah, permeabilitas tanah, porositas tanah. Di
samping itu, dianalisis juga C-organik yang merupakan sifat kimia tanah untuk mendukung
penelitian ini. Tahap persiapan dimulai dengan studi pustaka terkait penelitian yang
dilaksanakan dan pengumpulan data mengenai daerah penelitian dan penentuan lokasi
pengambilan sampel tanah dan data lain yang diperlukan selama penelitian.
Berdasarkan hasil penggamatan warna tanah dilapangan mendominasi kriteria 2,5Y
4/2 (coklat keabu-abuan gelap) dan 2,5Y 4/3 (coklat zaitun) yang mana warna tanah pada
lokasi tersebut mendominasi pada T2 dan T3. nilai kelas tekstur tanah mendominasi kelas
debu di setiap titik, untuk hasil analisis permeabilitas tanah memiliki kelas (agak lambat)
yang bernilai 1,77- 1,82, untuk kelas (sedang) hanya satu yaitu 2,43, dan untuk hasil
analisis porositas tanah menunjukan kelas (baik) yaitu 51,23-51,36 dan (kurang baik)
hanya pada T1 yang bernilai 50,07 dan untuk kandungan C-organik tanah tertinggi terdapat
pada T3 yaitu bernilai 1,32, dan untuk hasil kandungan C-organik terendah terdapat pada
T1 yaitu bernilai 1,15.

ABSTRACT Fertile land for agricultural development is land that has the capacity to meet all the needs of plants, that is, it is able to provide all the nutrients needed by plants in sufficient and balanced quantities, fulfills their water needs, supplies the required gases and has physical soil that is quite loose. to be penetrated by the plant's root system but can still support the plant to stand firmly. Paddy land is land that is used to grow lowland rice, either continuously throughout the year or in rotation with secondary crops. The term paddy field land is not a taxonomic term, but this term is more of a type of land use that is managed in such a way for the cultivation of rice plants and is also a general term like forest land, plantation land, and so on.The aim of this research is to analyze the physical properties of rice fields in Teureubeh Village, Kota Jantho District, Aceh Besar Regency. This research was carried out in Teureubeh Village, Kota Jantho District, Aceh Besar Regency. Analysis of soil physical properties was carried out at the Soil Physics Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Syiah Kuala University and the Soil and Plant Research Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Syiah Kuala University. The research uses a descriptive survey method, which is based on field observations and laboratory tests. The parameters analyzed are soil texture, soil color, soil permeability, soil porosity. Apart from that, organic C, which is a chemical property of the soil, was also analyzed to support this research. The preparation stage begins with a literature study related to the research being carried out and collecting data regarding the research area and determining the location for taking soil samples and other data required during the research. Based on the results of observations, soil color in the field dominates the criteria 2.5Y 4/2 (dark grayish brown) and 2.5Y 4/3 (olive brown) where the soil color at this location dominates at T2 and T3. The value of the soil texture class dominates the dust class at every point, for the results of the soil permeability analysis it has a class (rather slow) which has a value of 1.77-1.82, for the class (medium) only one is 2.43, and for the results of the soil porosity analysis shows class (good), namely 51.23-51.36 and (not good) only at T1 which is worth 50.07 and for soil C-organic content, the highest is at T3, which is worth 1.32, and for the results of C-organic content The lowest is in T1, namely 1.15.
