Ulkus diabetikum merupakan salah satu komplikasi diabetes mellitus (DM). Ulkus diabetikum disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor yaitu faktor yang tidak dapat diubah berupa usia, durasi menderita DM, jenis kelamin, dan riwayat ulkus sebelumnya dan faktor yang dapat diubah berupa neuropati perifer, obesitas, daerah tempat tinggal, kontrol glikemik yang buruk, perawatan kaki mandiri, status ekonomi, dan senam kaki. Hal ini dapat dicegah dengan dengan mengetahui faktor risiko penyebab ulkus diabetikum. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengetahuan tentang faktor risiko ulkus diabetikum pada pasien DM tipe 2 di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Baiturrahman Banda Aceh. Populasi penelitian ini adalah pasien DM tipe 2 di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Baiturrahman Banda Aceh, metode pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode probability sampling yang berjumlah 197 responden. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner. Data dalam penelitian dianalisis univariat menggunakan program komputer. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sampel dengan pengetahuan baik sebanyak 24,9%, berpengetahuan cukup sebanyak 43,1%, dan berpengetahuan kurang sebanyak 32%. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah pengetahuan tentang faktor risiko ulkus diabetikum pada pasien DM tipe 2 di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Baiturrahman Banda Aceh berada dalam kategori cukup. Diharapkan pasien dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang faktor risiko ulkus diabetikum sebagai upaya pencegahan.

Diabetic ulcers is one of the complications of diabetes mellitus (DM). Diabetic ulcers is caused by several factors, namely irreversible factors in the form of Age, duration of suffering from DM, gender, and previous history of ulcers and modifiable factors in the form of peripheral neuropathy, obesity, area of residence, poor glycemic control, independent foot care, economic status, and foot gymnastics. Diabetic ulcers can be prevented by knowing the risk factors that cause diabetic ulcers. This study aims to see the knowledge of risk factors for diabetic ulcers among patients with type 2 DM at primary Health Care Banda Aceh. The population of this study is type 2 DM patients in the working area of the Baiturrahman Banda Aceh Health Center, the sampling method in this study uses a probability sampling method which totals 197 respondents. The data collection technique in this study uses a questionnaire. The data in the study was analyzed univariate using a computer program. The results showed that the sample with good knowledge was 24.9%, sufficient knowledge as much as 43.1%, and less knowledge as much as 32%. The conclusion of this study is that the knowledge of risk factors for diabetic ulcers in type 2 DM patients in the working area of the Baiturrahman Banda Aceh Health Center is dominant in the sufficient category. It is Expected that patients can increase their knowledge about risk factors for diabetic ulcers as a preventive measure.
