ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini membahas tentang pengaruh Indian ocean dipole (IOD) positif terhadap perubahan suhu laut di perairan Aceh. IOD merupakan fenomena oseanografi yang berpengaruh signifikan terhadap iklim regional, termasuk variabilitas suhu laut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi IOD positif terhadap variabilitas suhu di perairan Aceh pada kedalaman 5m, 100m, dan 150m dengan melakukan pemetaan sebaran suhu dan analisis plot korelasi terutama saat puncak IOD positif. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Januari – April 2024. Data suhu diperoleh dari layanan Copernicus Marine Services, dan data indeks iod diambil dari JAMSTEC. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa fenomena IOD positif relatif tidak mempengaruhi perubahan suhu laut di perairan Aceh. Hasil dari penelitian yang didapat bisa menjadi informasi mendasar bagi komunitas ilmiah dalam memahami fluktuasi iklim dan dampaknya terhadap ekosistem laut.

ABSTRACT This study discusses the influence of the positive Indian Ocean Dipole (IOD) on sea temperature changes in the waters of Aceh. The IOD is an oceanographic phenomenon that significantly affects regional climate, including sea temperature variability. The aim of this research is to identify the impact of the positive IOD on temperature variability in the waters of Aceh at depths of 5m, 100m, and 150m by mapping temperature distribution and analyzing correlation plots during the peak of the positive IOD. The research was conducted from January to April 2024. Temperature data was obtained from Copernicus Marine Services, and IOD index data was sourced from JAMSTEC. The results indicate that the positive IOD phenomenon does not significantly affect sea temperature changes in the waters of Aceh. The findings of this study can provide fundamental information for the scientific community in understanding climate fluctuations and their impact on marine ecosystems.
