Picky eating masih menjadi masalah utama dalam nutrisi anak. Perilaku picky eating dapat menghambat pertumbuhan anak dan berpotensi mengalami stunting. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan perilaku picky eating pada aspek makan dalam jumlah kecil dan variasi makanan terbatas (perilaku neophobia, penolakan kelompok makanan tertentu, dan kecenderungan memilih penyajian makanan) terhadap kejadian stunting di wilayah kerja puskesmas Krueng Barona Jaya Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif korelatif menggunakan desain cross sectional study. Popolasi penelitian ini adalah ibu dan balita dengan sampel sebanyak 101 responden. Teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu simple random sampling. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Picky Eating Behavior Questionnaire (PEBQ). Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisa univariat dan bivariat menggunakan uji chi-square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan makan dalam jumlah kecil dengan kejadian stunting (p-value 0,000), ada hubungan perilaku neophobia dengan kejadian stunting (p-value 0,000), ada hubungan penolakan kelompok makanan tertentu dengan kejadian stunting (p-value 0,000), dan ada hubungan kecenderungan memilih penyajian makanan dengan kejadian stunting (p-value 0,000). Disarankan kepada petugas kesehatan untuk memberikan penyuluhan di posyandu yang berfokus tentang cara mengolah makanan murah dan bervariasi yang bergizi. Selanjutnya orang tua diharapkan dapat mengenalkan berbagai variasi jenis makanan.

The study aimed to find out the correlation between picky eating behaviors specifically, consuming small quantities of food and having a limited food variety (characterized by neophobic behavior, rejection of certain food groups, and preferences for specific food presentation) and the prevalence of stunting in children at the Krueng Barona Jaya Community Health Center, Aceh Besar Regency. This study used a descriptive correlative method using a cross-sectional study design. The population was mothers and toddlers with a sample of 101 respondents. The sampling technique was simple random sampling. The instrument in this study used the Picky Eating Behavior Questionnaire (PEBQ). Data analysis was performed using univariate and bivariate analysis and a chi-square test. The results showed that there were correlations between eating in small amounts with the incidence of stunting (p-value 0.000), neophobic behavior and stunting (p-value 0.000), the rejection of certain food groups and stunting (p-value 0.000), and the tendency to choose food presetantion and stunting (p-value 0.000). It is recommended for heatlh workers to provide counseling at the Posyandu (Integrated Health Service Post) that focuses on how to prosess affordable and varied foods that are nutritious. Furthermore, parents are expected to be able to introduce various types of food to their children.
