Capaian pembelajaran siswa SMPN 17 Banda Aceh pada materi SPLDV masih rendah. Salah satu solusi agar capaian pembelajaran siswa dapat meningkat yaitu dengan mengaitkan permasalahan yang ada dikehidupann sehari-hari siswa dengan materi. Model problem based learning dapat menggiring siswa untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan dengan menghubungkan pengetahuan yang baru didapatkan dengan pengetahuan yang telah diperolehnya, sehingga akan menjadikan siswa aktif dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa melalui penerapan model problem based learning pada materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel di SMPN 17 Banda Aceh. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah kelas VIII yang terdiri dari tiga kelas dan sampel dari penelitian ini adalah kelas VIII-4 dengan 29 siswa sebagai sampelnya. Sampel dipilih secara random sampling. Pendekatan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dan jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan design Pre Experimental Design dan format One Shot Case Study. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes akhir (post-test). Analisis data digunakan uji-t dengan taraf signifikansi α=0,05 diperoleh t_hitung>t_tabel, yaitu 5,59>1,701. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa mencapai ketuntasan pada materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel di SMPN 17 Banda Aceh melalui penerapan model problem based learning. Oleh karena itu diharapka pada peneliti lain dan juga guru dapat menerapkan model PBL pada pembelajaran maupun materi yang lebih lanjut.

One solution so that student learning outcomes can increase is by linking the problems that exist in students' daily lives with the material. The problem based learning model can lead students to solve problems by connecting newly acquired knowledge with the knowledge they have already acquired, so that it will make students active in learning. This research aims to determine the completeness of student learning outcomes through the application of the problem based learning model to the material on two-variable linear equation systems at SMPN 17 Banda Aceh. The population of this research is class VIII which consists of three classes and the sample of this research is class VIII-4 with 29 students as the sample. The sample was selected by random sampling. The approach used in this research is a quantitative approach and this type of research is experimental research with a Pre Experimental Design and One Shot Case Study format. Data collection was carried out with a final test (post-test). Data analysis used the t-test with a significance level obtained, namely . So it can be concluded that student learning outcomes achieve completeness in the material on two-variable linear equation systems at SMPN 17 Banda Aceh through the application of the problem based learning model.
