(HOTS) Melalui Model Problem Based Learning (PBL).
Penelitian yang berjudul “Meningkatkan Kemampuan Higher Order Thinking
Skills (HOTS) Melalui Model Problem Based Learning (PBL) ini bertujuan untuk
mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik, mendeskripsikan aktivitas, dan
mendeskripsikan tanggapan peserta didik. Untuk itu digunakan jenis penelitian
kualitatif deskriptif dan mengambil tempat di SMA Negeri 1 Darul Imarah Aceh
Besar. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 34 orang peserta didik kelas XI IPA 4 yang dipilih
secara simple random sampling. Pengumpulan data diperoleh melalui observasi
aktivitas, tes hasil belajar, dan angket tanggapan peserta didik terhadap model
pembelajaran PBL. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan aktivitas peserta didik pada
pertemuan pertama 80,20% kategori baik, pertemuan kedua 86,87% kategori sangat
baik, pertemuan ketiga 97,08% kategori sangat baik. KKM di sekolah SMA Negeri 1
Darul Imarah Aceh Besar sebesar 70 dan ketuntasan hasil belajar peserta didik sudah
melewati KKM yaitu dengan persentase 80,03% kategori tinggi. Hasil tanggapan
peserta didik 86,22% kategori sangat baik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat
disimpulkan bahwa aktivitas peserta didik mengalami peningkatan, hasil belajar
peserta didik tuntas secara klasikal, dan peserta didik memberikan respon positif
terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL).

Research entitled "Improving Higher Order Thinking Ability Skills (HOTS) Through the Problem Based Learning (PBL) Model aims to determine the increase in student learning outcomes, describe activities, and describe student responses. For this reason, this type of research is used descriptive qualitative and took place at SMA Negeri 1 Darul Imarah Aceh Big. The research subjects were 34 students from class XI IPA 4 who were selected using simple random sampling. Data collection was obtained through observation activities, learning outcomes tests, and student response questionnaires to the model PBL learning. The results of data analysis show students' activities in the first meeting was 80.20% in the good category, the second meeting 86.87% in the very category good, third meeting 97.08% very good category. KKM at SMA Negeri 1 school Darul Imarah Aceh Besar is 70 and the students' learning outcomes have been completed passed the KKM, namely with a percentage of 80.03% in the high category. Response results 86.22% of students are in the very good category. Based on the research results, it can be It was concluded that student activity had increased and learning outcomes students complete classically, and students give positive responses towards the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model.
