Kabupaten Aceh Besar merupakan salah satu kabupaten yang ada di Provinsi Aceh. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis sektor ekonomi unggulan dalam mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi di Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder dari Produk Domestik Regional Bruto (PDRB) Seri 2010 Atas Dasar Harga Konstan Menurut Lapangan Usaha Provinsi Aceh dan Kabupaten Aceh Besar tahun 2017-2021. Model analisis yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Location Quotient (LQ) dan Shift Share (SS). Hasil analisis Location Quotient (LQ) menunjukkan terdapat 7 sektor unggulan yaitu sektor Konstruksi, sektor Real Estate, sektor Transportasi dan Pergudangan, sektor Informasi dan Komunikasi, sektor Penyediaan Akomodasi dan Makan Minum, sektor Perdangan Besar dan Eceran; Reparasi Mobil serta sektor Pengadaan Air, Pengelolaan Sampah, Limbah dan Daur Ulang. Selanjutnya 10 sektor non unggulan nya adalah sektor Industri Pengolahan, sektor Jasa Perusahaan, sektor Pengadaan Listrik dan Gas, sektor Jasa Pendidikan, sektor Jasa Kesehatan dan Kegiatan Sosial, sektor Administrasi, sektor Jasa Keuangan, sektor Pertanian, sektor Pertambangan, serta sektor Jasa Lainnya. Hasil analisis Shift Share (SS) menunjukkan yang memiliki pengaruh pertumbuhan ekonomi (Nij) paling besar adalah sektor Pertanian, Kehutanan dan Perikanan. Pertumbuhan Bauran Industri (Mij) yang memberikan kontribusi paling besar adalah sektor Informasi dan Komunikasi. Keunggulan kompetitif (Cij) yang paling besar adalah sektor Konstruksi.

Aceh Besar District is one of the district in Aceh Province. The purpose of this study is to analyze the leading economic sectors driving economic growth in Aceh Besar District. This study uses secondary data from the 2010 Series of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) on the basis of constant process according fields of Aceh Province and Aceh Besar District in 2017-2021. The analytical model used this study is Location Quotient (LQ) and Shift Share (SS). The results of the location Quotient (LQ) analysis show that there are 7 leading sector, the Transportastion and Warehousing sector, the Information and Communication sector, the Accomodation and Food and Beverage Provision sector, the Wholesale and Retail trade sector; Car Repair as well as the Water Supply, Waste Management, Waste and Recycling sectors. Furthermore, the 10 non-leading sectors are the Manufacturing Industri sector, Corporate Services sector, Electricity and Gas Procurement sector, Education Services sector, Health Services and Social Activities sector, Administration sector, Financial Services sector, Agriculture sector, Mining sector, and lastly Other Service sector. The results of the Shift Share (SS) analysis show that the sector has the greatest influence on economic growth (Nij) is the Agriculture, Forester and Fisheries sector. The growth of the Industri Mix (Mij) which contributed the most was the Information and Communication sectors. The biggest competitive advantage (Cij) is the Construction sector.
