Teknik pembedahan penyakit Hirschsprung yang telah berkembang pesat serta digunakan oleh banyak dokter bedah di dunia saat ini ialah prosedur Transanal endorectal pull through (TEPT). Prosedur ini merupakan teknik operasi penyakit Hirschsprung yang dilakukan tanpa menggunakan diseksi laparoskopi intraabdominal yang merupakan modifikasi prosedure Soave. Beberapa faktor prognostik telah dikaitkan dengan hasil fungsional setelah dilakukan TEPT, salah satunya adalah fungsi defekasi pada pasien yang telah dilakukan TEPT. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat apakah terdapat pengaruh TEPT terhadap fungsi defekasi pada pasien Hirschsprung di Rumah Sakit Umum Dr. Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh. Sebanyak 32 pasien yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi menjadi subjek penelitian. Selanjutnya diambil data primer dengan mengisi kuisioner bowel function score dengan kategori buruk (skor < 12), sedang (skor 12-16) dan baik (skor ≥ 17). Uji statistik menggunakan uji One-sample t-test terhadap fungsi defekasi pada pasien Hirschsprung yang telah dilakukan TEPT, dari hasil penelitian ini didapatkan rata-rata fungsi defekasi pasien Hirschsprung setelah dilakukan tindakan TEPT adalah baik (skor 17,84). Nilai t hitung yang di peroleh adalah 3,811 dan P 0,001 (P < 0,05) menandakan terdapat pengaruh TEPT terhadap fungsi defekasi pasien Hirschsprung. Sehingga prosedur TEPT berpengaruh terhadap fungsi defekasi yang baik pada pasien Hirschsprung di Rumah Sakit Umum Dr. Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh.

Transanal endorectal pull through (TEPT) procedure is a surgical technique in Hirschsprung disease that have developed rapidly and used by many surgeons in the world today. This procedure is performed without using intraabominal laparoscopic dissection wich modified of the Soave procedure. Some prognostic factors are affect functional outcome of TEPT, one of them is bowel function. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of TEPT to bowel function in Hirschsprung patients at Dr. Zainoel Abidin General Hospital Banda Aceh. A total of 32 patients who met the inclusion criteria were the subjects of the study. Furthermore, the primary data was taken by filling out the questionnaire bowel function score with the category of poor (score < 12), moderate (score 12-16), and good (score ≥ 17). Statistical tests using one sample t-test on bowel function in Hirschsprung patients who get TEPT. The results of this study obtained the average bowel function of Hirschsprung patients after TEPT is good (score 17.84). The value of t-count is 3.811 and P 0.001 (P < 0.05) indicates that there is an influence of TEPT with the bowel function of Hirschsprung patients. So that the TEPT procedure has an effect on good defecation function in Hirschsprung patients at Dr. Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh.
