ISOLASI DAN SENSITIVITAS ANTIBIOTIK TERHADAP BAKTERI Klebsiella sp. PADA ORGAN REPRODUKSI
KUDA GAYO BETINA

ABSTRAK
Klebsiella sp. merupakan salah satu bakteri yang bersifat patogen oportunistik yang dapat menyebabkan infeksi pada saluran reproduksi kuda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keberadaan bakteri Klebsiella sp. pada organ reproduksi kuda gayo betina dan tingkat sensitvitasnya terhadap antibiotik Chloramphenicol dan Gentamicin. Penelitian ini menggunakan tiga sampel swab dari organ reproduksi kuda gayo betina yang dianalisis menggunakan metode Carter untuk isolasi dan identifikasi bakteri Klebsiella sp. hasil isolasi bakteri pada kuda gayo kemudian di uji dengan menggunakan metode Kirby Bauer untuk uji sensitivitas antibiotik Chloramphenicol dan Gentamicin. Hasil penelitian ditemukan adanya pertumbuhan bakteri dalam media Urea Broth (UB), ditemukan 1 koloni bakteri dalam media MacConkey Agar (MCA) sebagai bakteri Gram negatif dan dari uji biokimia diketahui spesies bakteri Klebsiella sp. Hasil uji sensitivitas isolat bakteri Klebsiella sp. terhadap Chloramphenicol menunjukkan luas daya hambat 25,9 mm dan Gentamicin 20,2 mm. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah pada organ reproduksi kuda gayo betina ditemukan bakteri Klebsiella sp. yang sensitif terhadap antibiotik Chloramphenicol dan Gentamicin.

ISOLATION AND ANTIBIOTIC SENSITIVITY AGAINST Klebsiella sp. BACTERIA ON THE REPRODUCTIIVE ORGANS OF GAYO MARES ABSTRACT Klebsiella sp. is one of the opportunistic pathogenic bacteria that can cause infections in the reproductive tract of horses. This study aims to determine the presence of Klebsiella sp. bacteria in the reproductive organ of Gayo mares and their sensitivity to Chloramphenicol and Gentamicin antibiotics. This study used three swab samples from the reproductive organ of Gayo mares which were analyzed using the Carter method for isolation and identification of Klebsiella sp. The results of bacterial isolation in Gayo mares were then tested using the Kirby Bauer method for Chloramphenicol and Gentamicin antibiotic sensitivity tests. The results of the study found bacterial growth in Urea Broth (UB) media, found 1 bacterial colony in MacConkey Agar (MCA) media as Gram-negative bacteria and from biochemical tests known bacterial species Klebsiella sp.. Sensitivity test results of Klebsiella sp. bacteria isolates against Chloramphenicol showed an inhibition area of 25.9 mm and Gentamicin 20.2 mm. The conclusion of this study is that in the reproductive organs of Gayo mares, Klebsiella sp. bacteria were found which are sensitive to Chloramphenicol and Gentamicin antibiotics.
