Judul : Perilaku Pemakaian APD Level 2 oleh Dokter Gigi Muda di RSGM Universitas Syiah Kuala Setelah Masa Pandemi COVID-19
Droplet dan aerosol dihasilkan dari berbagai tindakan kedokteran gigi. Air yang berasal dari alat-alat kedokteran gigi seperti handpiece, alat scalling, dan air-water syringe akan bercampur dengan cairan tubuh yang terdapat pada rongga mulut seperti saliva dan darah akan menghasilkan bioaerosol yang menyebabkan dokter gigi muda rentan terhadap penularan penyakit. Pencegahan infeksi silang perlu dilakukan untuk menghindari penularan penyakit dari prosedur medis terhadap pasien maupun dokter gigi muda. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perilaku pemakaian APD level 2 oleh dokter gigi muda di RSGM USK setelah pandemi covid-19. Metode pada penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan desain cross-sectional. Jumlah subjek adalah 71 dokter gigi muda yang bekerja pada hari dilakukannya penelitian. Pengolahan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan program Microsoft Office Excel dan SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dokter gigi muda yang menggunakan face shield 35 responden (50,7%), menggunakan alas kaki yang tertutup dan bersih 66 responden (93%), menggunakan handscoon medis 68 responden (95,8%), menggunakan penutup kepala 43 responden (60,6%), menggunakan masker 71 responden (100%), menggunakan gown 71 responden (100%), mencuci tangan sebelum tindakan 67 responden (94,4%), mencuci tangan setelah tindakan 71 responden (100%), sterilisasi alat sebelum digunakan 71 responden (100%), dan sterilisasi alat setelah digunakan 71 responden (100 %). Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah dokter gigi muda di RSGM USK memiliki perilaku pemakaian APD level 2 yang baik dengan persentase sebesar 91,5%.

Water from dental tools such as handpieces, scaling tools and air-water syringes will mix with body fluids in the oral cavity such as saliva and blood to produce bioaerosols which make young dentists vulnerable to disease transmission. Prevention of cross-infection needs to be done to avoid disease transmission from medical procedures to patients and young dentists. The purpose of this study was to determine behavior of using level 2 PPE by young dentists at RSGM USK after the co-19 pandemic. The method in this study is descriptive with a cross-sectional design. The number of subjects was 71 young dentists who worked on the day of the study. Data processing in this study used Microsoft Office Excel and SPSS programs. The results showed that 35 respondents (50.7%) were young dentists who used face shields, wore closed and clean footwear 66 respondents (93%), used medical gloves 68 respondents (95.8%), wore head coverings 43 respondents (60.6%), using masks 71 respondents (100%), using gowns 71 respondents (100%), washing hands before the action 67 respondents (94.4%), washing hands after the action 71 respondents (100%), tool sterilization before use 71 respondents (100%), and tool sterilization after use 71 respondents (100%). The conclusion of this study is that young dentists at RSGM USK have good level 2 PPE usage behavior with a percentage of 91.5%. Keywords : Usage behavior, PPE, cross infection, young dentist
