COVID-19 can infect anyone from children to the elderly and is not closed to the possibility of occurring in people with mental disorders (ODGJ). The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between age and gender to the treatment period for COVID-19 in patients with mental illness at the Aceh Mental Hospital. This type of research is observational analytic with a cross-sectional design. The sample of this study were 106 ODGJ patients with confirmed COVID19 who were taken with total sampling technique. Data collection was carried out through secondary medical record data. The results of this study showed that the treatment period < 14 days was mostly found in the adult age group (86.7%) and the treatment period ≥ 14 days was mostly found in the pre-elderly age group (45.5%). In the gender group, the treatment period < 14 days and ≥ 14 days in the male group was more than the female group. The results of the Spearman's rank CI 95% test and α 0.05 show that there is a relationship between age and the COVID19 treatment period and there is no relationship between gender and the COVID-19 treatment period in ODGJ at the Aceh Mental Hospital in 2021. With age (p value= 0.000, r = 0.367), and gender (p value = 0.082, r = 0.169).
