serta menentukan penyebab terjadinya kesulitan siswa dalam memahami materi segitiga. Penelitian ini berbentuk penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada siswa kelas VIII di MTsS Darul Ihsan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode tes dan
wawancara. Tahapan analisis data adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Triangulasi data pada penelitian ini menggunakan triangulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari lima indikator yang ingin dicapai pada materi segitiga, kesulitan yang dialami oleh siswa dikelompokkan dalam tiga jenis kesulitan yaitu kesulitan konseptual, kesulitan prinsip dan kesulitan prosedural. Namun mayoritas siswa mengalami kesulitan konseptual dibandingkan dengan kesulitan prinsip prosedural. Adapun penyebab kesulitan yang dialami oleh siswa diantaranya: kurang fokus saat proses pembelajaran berlangsung; kurangnya pemahaman materi prasyarat ; kurangnya latihan soal yang bervariasi; penjelasan guru terkait materi tersebut tidak dapat dipahami dengan mudah oleh siswa; kurang teliti dalam memahami maksud soal dan kurang teliti dalam melakukan perhitungan.

Analysis of Students' Difficulties in Understanding Triangle Material This study aims to describe the difficulties experienced by students and determine the causes of students' difficulties in understanding the triangle material. This research is in the form of descriptive research with a qualitative approach. This research was conducted on class VIII students at MTsS Darul Ihsan. The data collection techniques used are test and interview methods. The stages of data analysis are data reduction, data display, and conclusion. Data triangulation in this study used source triangulation. The result of the study showed that of the five indicators to be achieved in the triangular material, the difficulties experienced by students are grouped into three types of difficulties, namely conceptual difficulty, principal difficulty and procedural difficulty. However, the majority of students experience conceptual difficulties compared to the difficulties of procedural principles. The causes of difficulties experienced by students include: lack of focus during the learning process; lack of understanding of the prerequisite material; lack of practice of varied questions; the teacher's explanation of the material cannot be easily understood by students; lack of thoroughness in understanding the meaning of the problem and lack of meticulous in calculating.
