Penelitian ini membahas solusi soliton pada persamaan Benjamin-Bona-Mahony (BBM). Persamaan BBM ialah model differensial parsial nonlinier untuk perambatan searah gelombang panjang dengan amplitudo kecil. Persamaan ini dikembangkan oleh Benjamin, Bona, dan Mahony untuk mengatasi kelemahan dari persamaan Korteweg-de-Vries (KdV) yang gagal memodelkan perambatan gelombang searah saat bilangan gelombang besar. Solusi dari persamaan ini dikenal sebagai solusi soliton. Ada banyak metode untuk menyelesaikan persamaan nonlinear BBM, salah satunya ialah metode fungsi sinus-cosinus. Penelitian ini membahas bagaimana solusi gelombang pada persamaan Benjamin-Bona-Mahony (BBM) dengan menggunakan metode fungsi sinus-cosinus. Hasil yang di dapat berupa gelombang tunggal soliton yang merambat dengan kecepatan konstan.  Kata kunci : persamaan BBM, gelombang soliter, persamaan diferensial parsial nonlinier. &#13;

ABSTRACT &#13;
This research discusses about solutions of Benjamin-Bona-Mahony (BBM) equation. BBM equation is a model describing the propagation of long wave with small amplitude on one directional space. This equation was developed by Benjamin, Bona and Mahony to resolve the shortcoming of classic Korteweg-de-Vries (KdV) equation which fails to model the wave when the wavenumbers value is high. The solution of these equation is known as a solitary wave (soliton). This solution can be determined by various methods. Here,we apply the sine-cosine function method and analyze in detail there sulting solitary waves in the BBM equation. The result can be a single wave of solitons that propagate with a constant velocity. &#13;
