ABSTRAK
Prarancangan pabrik Sabun Mandi Cair menggunakan Crude Palm Oil (CPO) sebagai bahan baku. Kapasitas produksi pabrik Sabun Mandi Cair ini adalah 40.000 Ton/Tahun dengan hari kerja 330 hari/tahun. Prarancangan pabrik Sabun Mandi Cair menggunakan Crude Palm Oil (CPO) ini menggunakan proses Saponifikasi Trigliserida dengan konversi 98%. Lokasi pabrik direncanakan akan didirikan di Desa Simpang Empat, Kecamatan Karang Baru, Kabupaten Aceh Tamiang, Provinsi Aceh dengan luas tanah 10.000 m2.
Tahapan proses di Pabrik Sabun Mandi Cair ini meliputi tahap pemanasan umpan, proses reaksi saponifikasi trigliserida, proses pemisahan dan proses pencampuran. Reaksi berlangsung pada temperatur 120⁰C dan tekanan 1 atm pada fasa cair dengan penambahan KOH sebagai alkali. Selanjutnya dilakukan pemisahan air dan KOH yang tidak bereaksi untuk menghasilkan sabun yang murni. Lalu dilakukan pencampuran Asam Sitrat, EDTA, Propylene Glikol, CAPB, Gliserin, Anti Oksidan (ektrak teh) dan Pewangi.
Unit pendukung proses pabrik meliputi unit pengadaan air, steam, udara tekan, tenaga listrik, dan bahan bakar. Kebutuhan air sebesar 14,400 m3/jam diperoleh dari Sungai Krueng Tamiang, Kabupaten Aceh Tamiang, Provinsi Aceh untuk memenuhi kebutuhan listrik diperoleh dari Generator dengan daya 1.210 kW.
Bentuk perusahaan yang direncanakan adalah Perseroan Terbatas (PT) dengan menggunakan metode struktur garis dan staf. Kebutuhan tenaga kerja untuk menjalankan perusahaan ini berjumlah 200 orang.
Hasil analisa ekonomi yang diperoleh adalah sebagai berikut :

Berdasarkan studi teknis, kelayakan teknis dan ekonomis di atas, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa perancangan pabrik sabun mandi cair ini layak untuk dilanjutkan ke tahap konstruksi.

ABSTRACT Pre-design Liquid Soap plant design uses Crude Palm Oil (CPO) as raw materials. The production capacity of this Liquid Soap is a 40,000 ton / year with a working day 330 days / year. Pre-design Liquid Soap plant uses Crude Palm Oil (CPO) is using the saponification Triglycerides process with 98% conversion. This Plant locates in Simpang Empat, Karang Baru, Aceh Tamiang district, Aceh province with a land area of 10,000 m2. The reaction occurs in 120⁰C and 1 Atm pressure at liquid phase with the addition of KOH alkali. Furthermore, the separation of water and unreacted KOH to produce pure soap. Then do the mixing citric acid, EDTA, Propylene Glycol, CAPB, Glycerin, Antioxidant (tea extract) and perfume. The Utility unit includes unit procurement process plant water, steam, compressed air, electricity, and fuel. The water needs of 14,400 m3 / h was obtained from Krueng Tamiang River, Aceh Tamiang District, Aceh. The electricity obtained from the power generator with 1,210 kW. The planned corporate form is a Limited Liability Company (PT) using the line and staff structure. Labor requirements for running the company amounted to 200 people.
