Kegiatan perawatan mesin memiliki peran strategis dalam menjaga kontinuitas dan efektivitas proses produksi pada industri pengolahan kelapa sawit, khususnya pada mesin digester di PT. Padasa Enam Utama yang masih menghadapi potensi gangguan operasional akibat kerusakan komponen sehingga berdampak pada downtime dan kinerja sistem produksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi mode kegagalan, menentukan tingkat kekritisan komponen, serta merumuskan strategi perawatan optimal berbasis keandalan melalui pendekatan Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) yang terintegrasi dengan Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) dan Logic Tree Analysis (LTA). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan data historis kerusakan, kemudian dianalisis melalui tahapan RCM meliputi identifikasi fungsi sistem, analisis kegagalan, perhitungan Risk Priority Number (RPN), analisis Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), klasifikasi LTA, serta penyusunan maintenance task. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komponen kritis adalah liner digester (RPN 378; MTBF 102,86 jam), gearbox (RPN 250; MTBF 360 jam), dan body mesin (RPN 210; MTBF 720 jam), diikuti komponen lain seperti corong sliding door (RPN 180; MTBF 360 jam), pulley digester (RPN 168; MTBF 720 jam), bottom plate (RPN 160; MTBF 180 jam), bottom digester (RPN 160; MTBF 720 jam), dan pipa feeds (RPN 150; MTBF 720 jam). Nilai Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) sebesar 88,85% telah melampaui standar world class sebesar 85% yang menunjukkan tingkat efektivitas mesin yang sangat baik, meskipun masih terdapat peluang peningkatan pada aspek availability. Penerapan RCM menghasilkan rekomendasi strategi perawatan berupa time directed, condition directed, dan failure finding task yang mampu meningkatkan keandalan mesin, menekan downtime tidak terencana, serta mendukung peningkatan kinerja operasional secara berkelanjutan.

Machine maintenance plays a strategic role in ensuring the continuity and effectiveness of production processes, particularly in the palm oil industry where the digester machine at PT. Padasa Enam Utama still faces potential operational disruptions due to component failures that may lead to downtime and reduced system performance. This study aims to identify failure modes, determine the criticality level of components, and formulate optimal reliability-based maintenance strategies using the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) approach integrated with Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) and Logic Tree Analysis (LTA). The research method employed is descriptive qualitative, with data collected through observation, interviews, and historical failure records, which are then analyzed through RCM stages including system function identification, failure analysis, Risk Priority Number (RPN) calculation, Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) analysis, LTA classification, and maintenance task development. The results indicate that the critical components are the digester liner (RPN 378; MTBF 102.86 hours), gearbox (RPN 250; MTBF 360 hours), and machine body (RPN 210; MTBF 720 hours), followed by other components such as the sliding door chute (RPN 180; MTBF 360 hours), digester pulley (RPN 168; MTBF 720 hours), bottom plate (RPN 160; MTBF 180 hours), bottom digester (RPN 160; MTBF 720 hours), and feed pipe (RPN 150; MTBF 720 hours). The Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) value of 88.85% exceeds the world-class standard of 85%, indicating a high level of machine effectiveness, although there remains room for improvement in the availability aspect. The implementation of RCM results in maintenance strategy recommendations in the form of time-directed, condition-directed, and failure-finding tasks, which are capable of improving machine reliability, reducing unplanned downtime, and supporting sustainable operational performance improvement.
