Proses pengelolaan sistem layanan tugas akhir di Program Studi Teknik Industri
(PSTI) Universitas Syiah Kuala saat ini masih dilakukan secara manual, khususnya
dalam penentuan jadwal seminar tugas akhir. Proses tersebut meliputi mengecek
jadwal dosen secara satu persatu, pengambilan tangkapan layar (screenshot) jadwal
untuk keperluan penyampaian informasi kepada mahasiswa dan dosen, hal ini
membutuhkan waktu yang relatif lama dalam proses penentuan jadwal.
Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan
efisiensi layanan tugas akhir melalui perancangan sistem informasi berbasis
website. Sistem ini dirancang menggunakan metode Waterfall dengan menerapkan
empat dari lima tahapan, yaitu analisis kebutuhan sistem, pembuatan desain,
implementasi, dan pengujian. Tahap analisis dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi
kebutuhan pengguna, khususnya Koordinator Tugas Akhir sebagai user system.
Selanjutnya, tahap perancangan dilakukan untuk menghasilkan desain sistem yang
sesuai dengan kebutuhan tersebut, kemudian diimplementasikan melalui codingan
pada website. Pengujian sistem dilakukan oleh Koordinator Tugas Akhir
menggunakan metode Black Box Testing untuk memastikan seluruh fungsi sistem
berjalan sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengguna. Hasil dari penelitian ini berupa sistem
layanan tugas akhir berbasis website yang memiliki fitur dalam pengelolaan jadwal
seminar tugas akhir secara terstruktur dan efisien. Sistem yang dikembangkan
diharapkan dapat mempermudah pekerjaan Koordinator Tugas Akhir serta
mendukung transformasi digital di lingkungan PSTI Universitas Syiah Kuala agar
proses layanan tugas akhir menjadi lebih efektif dan efisien.

The process of managing the final project service system at the Industrial Engineering Study Program (PSTI), Universitas Syiah Kuala, is currently still conducted manually, particularly in determining final project seminar schedules. This process includes checking lecturers’ schedules individually and capturing screenshots of the schedules to disseminate information to students and lecturers, which requires a relatively long time in the scheduling process. Based on these issues, this study aims to improve the efficiency of final project services through the design and development of a website-based information system. The system is developed using the Waterfall method by implementing four out of the five stages, namely system requirements analysis, design, implementation, and testing. The analysis stage is conducted to identify user requirements, particularly those of the Final Project Coordinator as the system user. Furthermore, the design stage is carried out to produce a system design that aligns with the identified requirements, which is then implemented through website coding. System testing is conducted by the Final Project Coordinator using the Black Box Testing method to ensure that all system functionalities operate in accordance with user requirements. The result of this study is a website-based final project service system that provides features for managing final project seminar schedules in a structured and efficient manner. The developed system is expected to facilitate the work of the Final Project Coordinator and support digital transformation within the Industrial Engineering Study Program at Universitas Syiah Kuala, there by making the final project service process more effective and efficient.
