Membaca merupakan salah satu keterampilan berbahasa yang harus dikuasai oleh siswa. Sedang membaca
teks, pembaca dapat menemukan pengetahuan dan mendapatkan informasi dari teks cetak. Itu
pemahaman membaca siswa SMA 11 Banda Aceh masih rendah terutama di
membaca teks naratif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya a
dampak signifikan penggunaan strategi LRD terhadap pemahaman bacaan siswa
unjuk kerja teks naratif semester 1 kelas X SMA 11 Banda
Aceh tahun ajaran 2021/2022. Metodologi penelitian adalah eksperimental
desain. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X SMA 11 Banda Aceh.
Sampel penelitian ini adalah dua kelas yang terdiri dari 30 siswa untuk eksperimen
kelas dan 30 siswa untuk kelas kontrol. Di kelas eksperimen, peneliti menggunakan
Strategi LRD. Dalam mengumpulkan data, peneliti menggunakan instrumen berupa
soal pilihan ganda. Instrumen diberikan dalam pre-test dan post-test. Setelah
memberikan pre-test dan post-test, peneliti menganalisis data menggunakan SPSS untuk menghitung
uji-t sampel independen. Dari analisis data yang dihitung dengan menggunakan SPSS, ternyata
diperoleh bahwa Sig (2-tailed) 0,000 dan α = 0,05. Artinya Ha diterima karena Sig.
< α = 0,000 < 0,05. Oleh karena itu, ada dampak yang signifikan dari penggunaan strategi LRD
terhadap pemahaman bacaan siswa tentang teks naratif pada semester pertama
kelas sepuluh SMA 11 Banda Aceh.

Reading is one of language skills that should be mastered by the students. In reading the text, readers can find the knowledge and get information from printed text. The students’ reading comprehension of SMA 11 Banda Aceh is still low especially in reading narrative text. The objective of this research is to know whether there is a significant impact of using LRD strategy towards students’ reading comprehension performance on narrative text at the first semester of the tenth grade of SMA 11 Banda Aceh in 2021/2022 academic year. The research methodology was an experimental design. In this research, the population was the tenth grade of SMA 11 Banda Aceh. The sample of this research was two classes consisting of 30 students for experimental class and 30 students for control class. In the experimental class, the researcher used LRD Strategy. In collecting the data, the researcher used instrument in the form of multiple choice questions. The instrument was given in pre-test and post-test. After giving pre-test and post-test, the researcher analyzed the data using SPSS to compute independent sample t-test. From the data analysis computed by using SPSS, it was obtained that Sig (2-tailed) 0.000 and α = 0.05. It means Ha is accepted because Sig. < α = 0.000 < 0.05. Therefore, there is a significant impact of using LRD strategy towards students’ reading comprehension of narrative text at the first semester of the tenth grade of SMA 11 Banda Aceh.
