This study mainly discussed about the genuine characteristic features of suicide note occurred in four male celebrities suicide note which are kurt cobain, kevin carter, hunter. s. thompson and r. b. dwyer. this study used qualitative method. to gain the data, the researcher did some steps which were reading, describing, and classifying the document (suicide note). then, the researcher categorized the data in to the table and classified the data into five the genuine characteristics features of suicide note based on prokofyeva framework (2013): clear reasoning, expressing emotion, structure text, grammar, punctuation. the result of this research showed that all of the characteristics features suggested by prokofyeva (2013) were found in four male celebrities’ suicide note. the characteristics of clear reasoning took place as the most frequent characteristic occurred since it may tell the reader the victims’ point of view about the problem that they faced. while, absence of doubt and form of address took a place as the most rarely occurred since it might tell the readers the victims’ psychologies when facing the problems and to whom the suicide note addressed. in addition, all of the genuine characteristics features were found in four male celebrities suicide note. the researcher hoped for other researchers that interested in this topic might explore and developed about analysis the genuine of suicide note.
