Peningkatan kecelakaan lalu lintas dan kasus gangguan muskuloskeletal di aceh dalam lima tahun terakhir menyebabkan bertambahnya pasien trauma dan ortopedi di rsud dr. zainoel abidin, sementara belum tersedia fasilitas khusus yang menangani kasus tersebut secara komprehensif. kondisi ini melatarbelakangi perancangan rumah sakit orthopedi dan traumatologi di banda aceh sebagai upaya menyediakan layanan kuratif, rehabilitatif, dan promotif yang lebih terfokus. perancangan dilakukan melalui analisis tapak, kebutuhan ruang, alur pelayanan medis, serta standar rumah sakit khusus, dengan penerapan konsep arsitektur hijau dan healing environment untuk meningkatkan kenyamanan, efisiensi energi, dan kualitas ruang. inspirasi layered limestone formation diterapkan pada bentuk massa lengkung dan berlapis guna menciptakan orientasi ruang yang jelas dan suasana penyembuhan. hasil perancangan berupa konsep rumah sakit tipe b dengan zonasi vertikal, pemisahan alur trauma dan non-trauma, optimalisasi ruang terbuka hijau, serta integrasi prinsip keberlanjutan dalam massa, struktur, dan utilitas. rancangan ini diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan dan mendukung proses pemulihan pasien ortopedi dan trauma di banda aceh. kata kunci: rumah sakit, orthopedi, traumatologi, arsitektur hijau, lingkungan penyembuhan.

The increasing number of traffic accidents and musculoskeletal disorder cases in Aceh over the past five years has led to a rise in trauma and orthopedic patients at RSUD dr. Zainoel Abidin, while a specialized facility that comprehensively handles such cases is not yet available. This condition underlies the design of an Orthopedic and Traumatology Hospital in Banda Aceh as an effort to provide more focused curative, rehabilitative, and promotive services. The design process is carried out through site analysis, space requirements, medical service flow, and hospital standards, with the application of Green Architecture and Healing Environment concepts to enhance comfort, energy efficiency, and spatial quality. The inspiration of Layered Limestone Formation is applied to the curved and layered massing to create clear spatial orientation and a healing atmosphere. The result of the design is a Type B hospital concept with vertical zoning, separation of trauma and non-trauma circulation, optimization of green open spaces, and integration of sustainability principles in the building mass, structure, and utilities. This design is expected to improve service quality and support the recovery process of orthopedic and trauma patients in Banda Aceh.
