Pangkalan pendaratan ikan (ppi) labuhanhaji di kabupaten aceh selatan merupakan salah satu pusat aktivitas perikanan tangkap yang penting bagi masyarakat pesisir. namun, informasi mengenai sebaran alat tangkap dan jenis hasil tangkapan nelayan di wilayah ini masih terbatas. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memetakan sebaran alat tangkap serta mengidentifikasi jenis hasil tangkapan di ppi labuhanhaji. penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan september–oktober 2025 menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan teknik survei, observasi, dan wawancara terhadap nelayan. data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan divisualisasikan dalam bentuk peta berbasis sistem informasi geografis (sig). hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat enam jenis alat tangkap yang beroperasi, yaitu jaring insang dasar, jaring insang hanyut, rawai, pukat cincin, bagan perahu, dan pancing ulur yang tersebar pada enam titik koordinat berbeda. jaring insang dasar dan rawai dominan menangkap ikan demersal seperti kurisi, kerapu, dan manyung. jaring insang hanyut dan pukat cincin banyak menangkap ikan pelagis seperti tongkol, layang, dan kembung. bagan perahu dan pancing ulur menghasilkan tangkapan ikan pelagis kecil hingga menengah seperti teri, selar, dan barakuda. pola sebaran alat tangkap menunjukkan adanya pemisahan daerah penangkapan berdasarkan karakteristik habitat dan jenis ikan target. hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi dasar informasi dalam pengelolaan perikanan tangkap di wilayah ppi labuhanhaji. kata kunci: sebaran alat tangkap, hasil tangkapan, sistem informasi geografis, ppi labuhanhaji, perikanan tangkap.



Abstract

Labuhanhaji Fish Landing Base (PPI Labuhanhaji) in South Aceh Regency is one of the important centers of capture fisheries activities that supports the economy of coastal communities. However, spatial information regarding the distribution of fishing gears and the types of fish caught by fishermen in this area is still limited. This study aimed to map the distribution of fishing gears and identify the types of fish catches at PPI Labuhanhaji. The research was conducted from September to October 2025 using a descriptive method through surveys, observations, and interviews with active fishermen. The collected data were analyzed descriptively and visualized using a Geographic Information System (GIS). The results showed that six types of fishing gears were operated in the study area, namely bottom gillnet, drift gillnet, longline, purse seine, boat lift net, and handline, which were distributed across six different coordinate points. Bottom gillnet and longline mainly caught demersal fish such as threadfin bream, grouper, and catfish. Drift gillnet and purse seine were more effective in catching pelagic fish such as mackerel tuna, scad, and Indian mackerel. Meanwhile, boat lift nets and handlines caught small to medium pelagic fish such as anchovies, trevally, and barracuda. The spatial distribution pattern of fishing gears indicates the separation of fishing areas based on habitat characteristics and target species. These findings provide important information for fisheries management, particularly in supporting spatial-based management and sustainable utilization of fishery resources in the PPI Labuhanhaji area.
