Peran kompetensi manajerial dan kewirausahaan kepala sekolah terhadap peningkatkan mutu sekolah di smk negeri kabupaten aceh selatan oleh : asmawi npm: 2309200050039 komisi pembimbing: 1. prof. dr. murniati. ar., m.pd 2. prof. dr. bahrun, m. pd. abstrak peran kompetensi manajerial dan kompetensi kewirausahaan kepala sekolah merupakan dua kompetensi yang harus diimplementasikan dengan baik oleh kepala sekolah di sekolah yang dipimpin. kompetensi manajerial kepala sekolah berkaitan dengan bagaimana kepala sekolah dalam merencanakan, mengimplementasi dan mengevaluasi program kerja yang dibuat. kompetensi kewirausahaan berkaitan dengan sikap atau cara kepala sekolah dalam membangun dan memberdayakan sekolah. tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan gambaran bagaimana peran kommpetensi manajerial dan kewirausahaan kepala sekolah di smk negeri kabupaten aceh selatan. penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. berdasarkan temuan penelitian, maka didapati hasil : (1). program kompetensi manajerial dan kewirausahaan kepala sekolah di smkn aceh selatan sudah dirancang program yang jelas dengan melibatkan semua guru dan staff serta menyesuaikan kebutuhan peserta didik. (2) implementasi kompetensi manajerial dan kewirausahaan kepala sekolah smkn aceh selatan dilaksanakan dengan baik dan memperhatikan semua aspek untuk memajukan sekolah. (3) evaluasi kompetensi manajerial dilakukan oleh kepala sekolah dengan melakukan pengawasan, monitoring serta tindak lanjut dari setiap kegiatan di sekolah berupa supervisi kehadiran guru, evaluasi proses pembelajaran, dan solusi terhadap kendala yang dihadapi. kata kunci : manajemen, kompetensi manajerial, kompetensi kewirausahaan, mutu sekolah.

THE IMPACT OF THE PRINCIPAL’S MANAGERIAL AND ENTREPRENEURIAL COMPETENCIES IN ENHANCING THE QUALITY OF STATE VOCATIONAL SCHOOL OF ACEH SELATAN REGENCY ABSTRACT (Asmawi) Managerial and entrepreneurial competencies of school principals are essential for effectively leading the schools under their management. Managerial competency involves the ability of a principal to plan, implement, and evaluate the established work programs, and entrepreneurial competency refers to the principal’s approach to fostering innovation and empowering the school community. The aim of this study was to explore the roles of managerial and entrepreneurial competencies of the school principal of State Vocational School of Aceh Selatan Regency. A qualitative – descriptive method was employed, and the data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The findings of the study indicated: (1) that the managerial competency planning involved the participation of all school stakeholders in sharing ideas and aspirations, and (2) that the implementation of managerial competencies was conducted collaboratively, with the school principal forming a work team to oversee various activities. In addition, it was also found: (3) that evaluation of managerial competencies was carried out through supervision, monitoring, and follow-up actions based on reports from the head of activity division, including teacher and staff training and development. Moreover, (4) in terms of entrepreneurial competency, the school principal demonstrated characteristics such as innovation, hard work, persistence, problem-solving, high motivation, and strong entrepreneurial instincts. Lastly, (5) the managerial and entrepreneurial competencies of the school principal significantly contributed to enhancing both the school’s quality and the students’ achievement.
